Quigley Contracting is an agricultural contracting company that specialises in the chopping and baling of hay, silage, straw and maize. We are situated near Mayfield in the Ashburton District, which is in the South Island of New Zealand, the 'Heartland' of New Zealands farming scene. Our company was formed in 2002, and we started out with 1 medium square baler, 1 vee rake, a tractor and lots of enthusiasm!

The Quigley family has farmed in the Valetta area of Mid Canterbury for 3 generations. We understand the needs and requirements that a farmer expects from his local contractor – therefore the business growth has been driven by the values that we ourselves would expect when employing contractors. We pride ourselves in providing our clients (whether it be a small lifestyle block – or a large dairy operation) with the very best service possible, and the fact that we can do the entire job from the mowing right through to the wrapping – or stacking, means a stress free time for our busy clients.

In growing our business we have, and still are, constantly sourcing the very latest technology in our equipment so that we can provide our valued clients with nothing but the very best to complete their requirements.

We operate a modern fleet of John Deere tractors, Pottinger mowers, Claas linear 3000 rakes, balers, Scannell & Goweil wrappers and forage harvesters as well as providing cartage with our modern fleet of Scania & Izuzu trucks. A recent addition to our business has been the formation of Ag Feed Supplies – a company that specialises in the buying and selling of high quality supplementary feeds to and from our valued clients. The two businesses compliment each other by enabling the focus to be either on the contracting side of things – and the end product being marketed to the highest standards possible. The overall outcome benefits clients and suppliers alike.
